A View Along Looking Glass Creek
Early autumn afternoon at Looking Glass Falls outside Brevard, North Carolina. Looking Glass Falls are one of the more popular waterfalls in the area due to the ease of access. The 60 ft. high falls are located roadside north of Brevard, North Carolina on Highway 276. They are easily accessbile and kid-friendly.
The falls themselve got their name from Looking Glass Creek, named for the large rock formation in the area (Looking Glass Rock). Water freezes on the rock surface in the winter, and sunlight reflecting off of its surface gives the rock its name. (1/4 sec at f/10, ISO 400)
