Chimney Tops
Chimney Tops is one of the more popular areas in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and is the oldest official trail. The mountain has an elevation of a little over 4700 feet so while it isn't the tallest in the area, it is the only one with a summit of bare rock.
In 2016, wildespread and large wildfires burned areas around Chimney Tops as well as other areas in the park.
