Abstract and Intimate Nature
Layers of Yellow
Fall Color, Great Smoky Mountain National Park - Yellow Birch displaying its autumn colors in the forest around the Tremont area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
The Yellow Birch (Betula alleghaniensis) typically grows in the northeastern part of the United States. Its habitat does extend into the southeastern United States at the higher elevations in Tennesee, North Carolina, and Georgia. Like multiple species of the birch family, the bark will begin to reveal a peeling nature when it matures.
