Rivers and Streams
Winter's Paradise
This small stream called Bear Wallow Branch runs through the Elkmont area in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and eventually into the Little River further down stream.
Elkmont is a village originally built as a logging village for workers in the logging industry. Afterwards, it became a popular vacation spot for members of a philanthropic group called the Appalachian Club. Recently the area is in disrepair but is being refurbished for campground use.
